Daily checks have been carried out on the H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 13 in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) during parts' replacement work in KAGUYA's two onboard baby satellites. The launch was rescheduled for 10:35:47 a.m. JST on Thursday, September 13, and MILSET, our launch campaign team (MItsubishi Launch Site ServicE Team) has been conducting final checkout, including an integrated countdown rehearsal, aimed at ensuring 100% success. On August 26, KAGUYA was mated with the payload adapter, which functions as the interface between the spacecraft and the launch vehicle. This was followed on the 28th by the encapsulation of KAGUYA and its two baby satellites into the 4S-shaped fairing. At the beginning of next week, the fairing-encapsulated KAGUYA will finally be transported to the VAB, where the assembled launch vehicle is waiting, and mated atop the H-IIA second stage.
