H-IIA F15 lifted off carrying the IBUKI satellite (GOSAT) at 12:54 p.m. on January 23, 2009 (JST) from the Tanegashima Space Center.
The launch vehicle flew smoothly, and at about 16 minutes after liftoff, IBUKI separation was confirmed.
